1. What inspires your outfits? What do you wear when you’re having a ‘not in the mood’ day.
My life revolves around inspiration. I read a lot: books, blogs and magazines. I love people-watching and street style photography. In addition to that, my greatest love is travelling and I try to visit a new country every year. What I observe from these different sources is what influences my style. Together with my innate desire to always try something new and push personal boundaries, that is how I decide what outfit to wear. When I’m having a ‘not in the mood’ day, I wear a one-piece because this requires minimal thought or styling- a dress or jumpsuit. I would then wear my go-to shoes which are most likely to be black chunky heeled boots from Zara or a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti python skin trainers which are my epitome of sports luxe. I might throw on a statement necklace if the outfit looks too plain and them I’m good to go!
2. If you could live in just one designer for the rest of your life who would it be and why?
Wow, that’s such a tough question because different designers have their strong points! Right, so it would have to be one that incorporates both classic and edgy pieces and is just as good with day wear as in night wear. I would say Balenciaga but their bags are too much of the same thing and or maybe Alexander Wang because he has mastered the art of edgy basic chic but I really would need more glamour for a night-time event. I also really like Celine and Haider Ackerman but I think I would have to go for Miu Miu. Miu Miu might actually have an item for every occasion. They also have their own way of making the cutest items just edgy enough. Sorry, my indecisiveness is the bane of my life! I am such a dreamer, it’s always hard to choose.
3. You’re Fashion God for the day – what/who will you make everyone wear?
Oh, this is an easy one. Heels! Girls shouldn’t live without killer heels and just for fun, boys should experience the pain that often comes with wearing heels! Just kidding. It would be leather- I love leather and I am so happy to see it thriving this season and see the versatile material being incorporated into many different items of clothing. It is now represented in a more mainstream rather than punk way and I love that.
4. You’ve been instructed by the World Fashion Committee to dress one famous man – who would you choose and why?
I can’t imagine that I would be extremely good at styling men so it would have to be someone who is already somewhat stylish and just a very fun experience. Laughs have to be shared and inspiration has to be gained. Will Smith would be the perfect man- one of the only actors in the world to crack my weird sense of humour and an incredible man that I’m sure I could learn so much from.
Do you not just love Fisayo as Marilyn for Halloween!
5. If you were going to be stuck on a fashion island – what 5 items would you take with you?
Firstly, my Giuseppe trainers- the word ‘stuck’ sounds scary and means I have to have some comfortable items. My leather jacket, a casual dress, a fabulous dress incase there’s a glam event, you never know. And ofcourse a pair of heels.
