‘I’m so guarded, I’ve been hurt, see, I’m so cold now, someone burned me.’ She got me liking Rick Ross and Wale ,I am uber excited about her Audrey Hepburn mixtape and now she’s done a collabo with 2 Chainz (Twooooo Chainzzzz!), Chrisette Michele is TOPS my favourite female artiste of our times. I’m currently feeling Charades and can’t wait for more from Chrisette.
1. Charades – Chrisette Michele ft Two Chainz
‘ If you’re wondering why I’m throwing you shade, it’s your charades. I can see your charades. I’m so guarded, I’ve been hurt, see, I’m so cold now, someone burned me. Yeah, I like you, yeah you like me But I can see your charades’
PS: Who else plans to get their Audrey Hepburn on when the mixtape comes out? Let’s form a committee. Already loving the ‘Rich Hipster’ look, its already a look I love to rock. That cigar is all kinds of sexiness! Gotta love Miss Michele!
2. Beneath Your Beautiful – Labrinth feat Emeli Sande
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful, Would you let me see beneath your perfect
This song had me at the first beat! Yes I gladly paid my £0.99 on iTunes and have had this song on constant repeat since I heard it on Saturday – I was not paying no mind to the Xfactor until these two hit the stage and sang this jam.
3. Losing You – Solange Knowles
I fell in love with the video, it’s shot in Cape Town (my favourite place on this earth..so hey), the vibe but most of all THE FASHION!!!! This song brightens up my mood and no matter how dark and grey London can be, I see Cape Town’s beauty and sunshine when this song plays! And I’m just happy she’s back to making music if you remember when we did the feature on her I did question if she’d get back to making music again.
4. TwoEleven – Brandy
Brandy’s TwoEleven album has debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s R&B albums chart and #3 on the Top 200. I’ve already said I’m a fan of Brandy, we’ve grown together and so I’m glad to see her back on top and loving her new look too and doesn’t her man Laz Alonso look alike boo is making our Bran-Bran happy!
Thanks for that full TwoEleven! Chrisette isn’t my type and her and 2 Chainz sound odd – he wasn’t needed on the track but she does collabos with such guys.
Chrisette has come a loooooooooooooong way from her sweet-as-pie “I Am” debut album, can’t wait to listen to this collabo of hers with 2 Chainz….ooooh, can you do a piece on the evolution of her fashion sense, she’s killing it!
I like the concept of her new do, but not the ocuotme. Big, natural hair is incredible, and the look can be achieved by a wig or a weave, but color, hair texture, and length have to be taken into consideration also. Quite frankly, I think her new do looks fake, and if done right it really wouldn’t. Didn’t she shave her head not too long ago, or am I confusing her with someone else?
At the risk of stalking this here page, can I just say “I LOVE IT”…it being Chrisette’s new track. It’s going to get some heavy rotation from me, merci 🙂
Loving that new Chrisette – not just her music but clearly her ‘Rich Hipster’ aka I hung around BrickLane when I was in London look. Niice!
