Baring the Décolletage‬: A Hot-Summer’s Cold Shoulder

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Summer is nigh! What is summer to me? Warm weather, long summer evenings, bottomless brunches, punting in Cambridge, cocktails on the Madison rooftop, barbecues, weddings, Wimbledon, Pimms, frozen yogurt, picnics,  and to top it all buying summer fashion pieces is always a winner too.  I have to say that my Summer 2016 wishlist has a theme and a focus on a certain trend! The trend is classy, sexy, feminine, it  appreciates and focuses on the baring of the  shoulder or  décolletage‬ if you feel to be fancy (on a side-note I was partially surprised to see the plethora of articles online focusing on how to achieve a sexy décolletage‬) with the off-the-shoulder/cold shoulder trend.

From playsuits to tops to dresses – this cold shoulder trend works and just exudes style savant with no huge feat. Here are some of our favourite cold shoulder looks from some of our favourite Chaud Alumni featured bloggers.

image1Off the shoulder Playsuit –  Stella pulls of this look very well. Great for summer parties, a summer date and brunch with your girls.

Off-the-shoulder Top – This can be paired with jeans or as Sharon shows us is great for a day at the beach paired with shorts and gladiator sandals.

Cold shoulder Crop Top – Paired with high waisted jeans, Miu Miu sunglasses and a bold red lip Akua is summer effortlessly chic defined!

Off The Shoulder with Graphic PrintsNifesimi pulls in three 2016 S/S trends all in one outfit well – stripes, graphic prints, off-the-shouder lace such a great outfit for a wedding or garden party!

The JumperFisayo rocks the chunky cornrows look with  the cold shoulder jumper-choker combo  for the chilly summer evenings – great outfit for date night!

Now that we have you inspired, FarFetch is definitely one of our favourite places to shop this trend, we have picked some of our favourite pieces, check them out below!
