Dear 2024,

Oh how you have surprised me, challenged me and blessed me.

When we embarked on this journey together I knew what I wanted. I knew where I wanted to be by the end of this year and I was very hopeful about said destination, but I never could have imagined the paths that would lead me there.

I remember starting off the year on such a high, I had just secured my dream Hermès bag (a retourne Birkin 30 in vert amande togo leather with gold hardware) and my Aquarian birthday was soon approaching (of course this meant more shopping and celebration). Life was good! I was so optimistic about this year being “my year”! While continuing to work on my personal growth, I simultaneously wanted to build on and strengthen the female friendships in my life, travel more, grow my TikTok account, make more money, and meet my future husband of course. My first big trip of the year was to NYC with a dear friend of mine for my birthday, it was so healing and inspiring. However, things definitely took a turn upon returning from this trip as I found myself having to make the decision to buy a property much earlier than I had planned to, but somehow by the grace of God I was able to purchase my first property and I moved into my new home in September. I really do understand now why people say that getting a mortgage and buying a property is one of the most stressful life events, because it was so intense!! The thought of buying alone had always been terrifying to me, but thankfully I am blessed with friends who supported me through this process and truly showed up for me. Some of them being long time friends, and others being newer friendships that were developed and strengthened this year, just as I had intended.

To some extent my primary focus this year ended up being my new home, and understandably so, it was no small feat. So naturally I wasn’t expecting any other big changes to  come my way. I had travelled, shopped, surpassed 10,000 followers on TikTok (where I share lifestyle, fashion and perfume content), worked with some of my dream fragrance brands which included household perfume houses like Roja Parfums, Creed as well the recently launched female-led Kheir Fragrance House . I also added some very exciting fragrances to my collection. Believe me, to a fragrance enthusiast that last part is extra special because we really do think and dream about fragrance 24/7!

With all this in mind, I was ready to take the remainder of the year easy and just coast through. You know, relax and recharge for a bigger and better 2025. The absolute last thing I expected was to meet a man, and fall in love, I had quite literally stopped putting effort into dating. But you know what they say, when you stop looking, that’s when it all happens.

This year has possibly been the most positively eventful and challenging one of my life with multiple significant changes and milestones, but I would do it all over again without hesitation because here I am, happy, thriving, and so grateful for every single blessing. And with that I say thank you to 2024, you’ve been wonderful!

Here’s to 2025.. lets be having ya!
