Dear 2024,
This year has been nothing short of transformative. As I sit to reflect, I can’t help but feel immense gratitude for the milestones, lessons, and connections that have shaped my journey.
In 2024, I stepped into a new tech role—a leap that brought excitement and challenges, and within six months, I was rewarded with a well-deserved pay rise. Balancing this with starting my university journey was no small feat, but achieving a first has made every late night worth it.
Motherhood brought its own joys as my son Gabe achieved his second swimming certificate as well as starting his tennis lessons, even him getting his first campaign gig with Marks and Spencer — proud moments that reminded me to celebrate every win, big or small. On the creative front, I had the privilege of working with incredible brands such as Phase Eight, YSL Beauty, Ace & Tate, and Marks & Spencer. These collaborations allowed me to express my creativity and connect with communities that inspire me. Officially launching my content photography journey was another highlight, teaching me the value of consistency, authenticity, and showing up for myself and my audience, even when the path felt uncertain.
This year also introduced me to incredible new friendships through social media—connections that expanded my world and reminded me of the beauty in shared experiences. Perhaps one of the most fulfilling aspects of 2024 was laying the groundwork for a secure financial future for my family and me—a journey driven by determination, strategy, and faith in what’s possible.
2024 has taught me that thriving isn’t about perfection but about showing up, learning, and celebrating growth in every space I inhabit. From the tech industry to university, from the creator space to personal life, this year will always remind me of what it means to thrive.
Here’s to embracing even more spaces, opportunities, and moments to thrive in the year to come.
With gratitude,
Lisa Edunsin
